Adult Individual Therapy

I provide therapy for adult individuals that is collaborative and interactive; I see it as a process that is relationship-based, requiring efforts from both of us.

The first few sessions involve an evaluation of your needs and what our work may include. I will hear about your reasons for seeking therapy, gather relevant personal history, and discuss your current experiences. We will begin to identify behaviors, thoughts, and feelings that might be preventing you from enjoying life. Together we will develop a plan, set goals and discover ways for you to create positive growth and change in order to achieve the personal success you desire.

I draw upon various psychological approaches according, in part, to the problem that is being treated and my assessment of what will best benefit you. Such approaches may integrate evidence-based therapeutic techniques that include cognitive-behavioral, developmental, family systems, solution-focused, psychodynamic, and/or psycho-educational.
